Serendipity lives
Cris Anderson is a writer from a little town of less than population 700, New Underwood, in rural South Dakota, where her family has retained residency for 100 years. She thrives in life with her family as a homeschooling mom of three beautiful daughters, writer and photographer of the local newspaper in New Underwood and during the summer months as the aquatic director (manager, lifeguard, lifeguard trainer, mouth-2-mouth expert) of the local swimming hole. She also assists in the family bar, The Hall, spreading her charisma and charm serving up brew.
Cris is a strong advocate for women, children and environmental issues. At an early age, she attempted to understand the world around her. At the age of 22, she took a few clothes, her pet poodle and three dollars and embarked on a journey that led her through the underworld of American society as an employee of a traveling carnival. That journey demonstrated her strength and showed her several different aspects of life. Returning back to her roots, Cris moved to the family ranch to assist in the caring of her aging grandmother, Marie.
Cris has a zest for life that allows her to immerse herself and experience many things. Her hands-on approach has enabled her to wear many hats and ask many questions that keep her on a constant quest for life's answers.
Through hardships and trials she has come to understand and enjoys the puzzle pieces that make her up as well as her daughters.
Today, she shares her life with loving friends and family and resides in New Underwood and in Rapid City, SD, with her partner and best friend and her children.
